Hey y’all …

Thought I’d stick an update here to let you know that I have new charts available now at PepperHorn.com. PepperHorn is a new site providing 100% legally licensed sheet music for Entertainment Professionals. The new PepperHorn rep is slick, cleanly produced and maximizes quality while keeping the parts down to a minimum of pages (in most cases 2 or 3!). The PepperHorn online store is totally automated so you can place your orders, view and print your charts all within a few minutes using PayPal or a Credit Card.

Depending on where you’re located (EU or the rest of the world) you may have different tunes to choose from (because of the different licensing agreements PepperHorn has in place). My good buddy, Dale Gibson Sr. from the UK has just finished his Anthology of Big Band Trumpet Solos. Not only is Dale a great cat, but he’s undeniably one of the top lead screamers in the UK — playing with the Glenn Miller Band (UK) and has recorded with many of the BBC Radio bands, top touring acts and big names in show business over the years.

The book includes 43 Trumpet solos from the Early Swing period up to the ’60s. You can grab your copy on Ebay for just 10 Quid. Its a steal and a must have for any serious Trumpet player working in that idiom. Check it out!

Here’s a sneak peek for those of you that have been patiently waiting for the new PepperHorn Music! Its almost on its way … but I’ve been playing around in the home studio to get some demos up for our new tunes. They’re still a little rough but I thought you’d dig checking out some of the big band and New Orleans sounds that will be coming to the page soon! … all featuring the ‘Sunbury Silicon Swingers’ (aka. Found this one on the good ‘ole Lifehacker blog for all you budding guitar players out there (count me out … I still haven’t spent the time to get any chops together .
